Sisterlocks

There's an saying in the Sisterlocks Community. . . . .

 

 

 

                                       "Come Home To Sisterlocks"

 

 

That's exactly, what I did.  Since 2005, I've been Loc'd. And I've loved the entire journey.  It's opened new pathways that I've never expected and I've benefited from meeting new people and exploring new experiences along the way.

 

Going "Natural" is not for everyone, but for me, it was a release. It is Freedom. It's re-investing in my "own".  It's empowering!  It's "Today's new Afro". I feel proud to wear Sisterlocks, because it is "uniquely my own".  Feeling good in my own skin is wonderful. "Sisterlocks" is a gift that keeps on giving. I have evolved and matured, along with my Sisterlocks.

 

I've realized that it takes a special person to take that leap. To be natural is to "Trust" me.  To let my body take care of itself. No chemicals, No heat, and No pressure to change my hair texture. No pressure to look like or to fit someone else's expectations.

 

To relate to other women of color, is a powerful thing to do. To re-invest into my own community makes me stronger.  Ultimately, to let my body do, what it does naturally, to t.h.r.i.v.e.

 

There is another saying. . . and its my favorite. . . . .
